Services

At BoHerm Tutoring and Academic Consulting, we provide a range of tutoring and academic consulting services. Some key considerations include:

• Location - Tutoring or Academic Consulting can occur whatever best fits your needs:

  • in person at the client's home,

  • at an agreed-upon public meeting space, or

  • over Zoom  

• Student Ages - While our experience is primarily at the high school level, we also have experience working with middle-school students as well; ergo, we serve grades six and older in our tutoring and academic consulting services.

While we believe that each student requires individualized approaches, below are a sample of the typical services we provide.

For Mathematics, with Mike Bohen, services include but are not limited to:

• Homework assistance, review and revision

• Test or quiz review, revision and/or preparation

• Concept or skill re-teaching or clarification

• Advancement of current academic progress through pre-teaching upcoming units or concepts.

• Review, preparation, and/or strategic approach building to college admissions tests, such as the S.A.T or A.C.T.

• Preparation and review for A.P. Mathematics testing

For English Language Arts, with Josh Hermanson, services include but are not limited to:

• Homework assistance, review and revision

• Test or quiz review, revision and/or preparation

• Writing or essay feedback, suggestions for revision, and brainstorming approaches 

• Concept or skill re-teaching or clarification

• Advancement of current academic progress through pre-teaching upcoming units or concepts.

• Review, preparation, and/or strategic approach building to college admissions tests, such as the S.A.T or A.C.T.

• Preparation and review for A.P. or I.B. testing

• College essay workshops specifically tailored to the U.C. Insight Questions, Common App. Essay or individual university prompts, including brainstorming, revision, editing and feedback
